A unique combination of spectacular marine life, World War II wrecks, shark action, underwater volcanic activity, fascinating cultural experiences and unlimited diving aboard Paradise Sport.

A typical cruise includes Nuakata Island, East Cape, the North coast and D 'Entrecasteau Islands. Cruises may also include Basilaki Island to the southeast, Cape Vogel to the northwest and on #P3 Egum Atoll to the northeast. Observations by marine scientists suggest that Milne Bay Province has the greatest marine biodiversity in the region. Every cruise offers a chance to see marine life seldom seen elsewhere.

Nautilus Dives

  • During the cruise a nautilus trap is set to enable divers to photograph live nautilus. The nautilus are safely returned to deep water before being released.

Wall Diving

  • Barracuda, trevally, wahoo, dog tooth tuna and hammerheads can be seen patrolling the walls of Deacon’s Reef, Keast Reef, Peer’s Reef, Barbarian Reef and Wong's Reef.

Exotic Creature Dives

  • In the sheltered bays of Dinah’s Beach, Observation Point and Bunama Beach, exotic marine life that can be seen includes: blue ribbon eels, seahorses, flamboyant cuttlefish, ghost pipefish, leaf scorpion fish, mimic octopus and mantis shrimp.

Wreck Diving

  • Dive the magnificent B17 Bomber "Blackjack", one of the worlds best aircraft wreck dives. The historic B17 is at a depth range of 45m-48m (150ft-160ft). Previous experience to these depths are required to fully enjoy the dive, however the Blackjack can be viewed on a bounce dive to 40m (132ft) which is the minimum depth experience required for this dive. Milne Bay also offers the P38 Lightning plane wrecks. The S'Jacob is included on special wreck itineraries.

Shark Action

  • Observe silver-tip, grey reef, white-tip reef and seasonal schooling hammerheads at Keast Reef.

Bommie Dives

  • Some of the most beautiful and lush of Milne Bay reefs are small isolated "bommies" covered with exuberant growths of soft and hard corals, sea fans and whips and magnificent growths of black corals as well as and abundant fish life. Regular sites are Banana Bommie; Black and Silver Reef; Nuakata Bay Reef; Sanaroa Reefs; Keast Reef and many others.

Cultural Experiences

  • Some of these cultural excursions can be experienced on each expedition: a walk through ra info rest to reach the Skull Cave; a visit to hot springs where boiling water & geysers litter the landscape in a volcanic display; a wander through Boga Boga village’s market stalls; a visit by local children from Bunama village who sing a repertoire of harmonious PNG songs for your enjoyment and a visit to Kwato Island’s mission where spectacular views of China Strait’s can be seen.

Last Day

  • Includes two to three morning dives before returning to port.

Final Evening

  • Dinner and accommodation aboard Paradise Sport.
