The south-west wall at North Horn was excellent - lots of soft corals and big pelagic fish, tuna and sharks.

Sasha King - UK

There was great variety between each dive site and the briefings thoroughly explain how to see the best of each site.

Helen Reidy - Australia

The evening talk from the Researchers was excellent and there was such a great mix of coral gardens and shark spectacle.

Nautilus dive followed up with an amazing Silvertip Shark parade

From the dive deck By Kiana Saltarelli

Guests remained exuberant after an exclusive opportunity to dive amongst dinosaurs of the sea, the Nautilus. A Silvertip Shark flaunted her beauty during the shark feed, giving divers an incredibly personal encounter. Cracker Jack and Steve’s Bommie put on a show with more than 40 metres of visibility.

A Unique Experience with Nautilus

From the dive deck, Jelle Kollet, May 18-25, 2017

Eight nautilus were collected from between 200 & 250 metres, both scientists and guests got what they came for. A hammerhead on the colourful Western Wall was a highlight. Back on the GBR at Lighthouse Bommie a playful turtle had divers returning to Spoilsport beaming. Snorkelers had their best snorkel ever with very friendly cod at the Cod Hole.

Cuttlefish and sharks put on a show!

From the dive deck, Kiana Saltarelli, May 25- June 1

There were 26 nautilus this week at the Coral Sea. Phenomenal photo opportunities arose during the private shark shoot, with 30 metre visibility and sharks remaining super close for the shots. Cuttlefish put on a camouflage show amongst the colourful coral. The spectacle continued on the night dive when an enormous baitfish ball glittered in the torch lights.
