Diverse marine life seen with great guiding. Steve's Bommie has so much diversity to see.
May on the Great Barrier Reef
From the dive deck - Kerrin Jones
Although strong winds prevented Spoilsport from travelling out to the Coral Sea reefs, the more sheltered Ribbon Reefs provided some fantastic diving this expedition. Divers experienced 40m plus visibility on several great sites, including Pixie Pinnacle, Coral Kingdom and Acropolis. A particular highlight was Lighthouse Bommie, where divers got close to a very relaxed turtle and saw olive sea snakes, nudibranchs and a flame file shell.

Abundance of life at Steve's Bommie; size of corals at Coral Kingdom; healthy shark population during shark attraction dive. Favorite sightings: cuttlefish, lionfish and olive sea snake.

I loved all the interactions with staff. They really made the whole experience worthwhile.
Sharks in Full Glory
From the dive deck – By Kiana Saltarelli
An abundance of sharks joined our divers this week, including a hammerhead and several epaulettes. A green sea turtle munched on a jellyfish for photographers, while all divers had a chance to get up close and personal with olive sea snakes. Cuttlefish finished the show with a camouflage display whilst laying their eggs in patches of coral.

May in the Ribbon Reefs
From the dive deck – By Kerrin Jones
Strong winds continued to blow this week, so Spoilsport visited the Ribbon Reefs of the GBR rather than Osprey Reef in the Coral Sea. Diving highlights included encounters with cuttlefish, sea snakes, turtles and well-camouflaged stonefish. A bunch of divers increased their diving qualifications, completing the PADI Advanced Open Water or Enriched Air Specialty course during their trip.
