Colin Park - Canada
incrdible dive sites & we were the only divers in the area we were diving. So much to see at Steve's Bommie.
Nudibranch special
From the dive deck, Jelle Kolet, August 10 – August 17
It wasn’t the sharks, rays and sea snakes but the small nudibranchs who were the stars of this week’s expedition. On every single dive, divers found several of these elusive critters boasting strange shapes and stunning colours. The visibility at Lighthouse Bommie was well over 30 meters providing aquarium-like conditions for happy divers.

Coral Sea Exploratory Expedition
From the dive deck, Kerrin Jones, August 17- August 24
The expedition got off to a great start with fantastic weather, 40m plus visibility, plenty of colourful soft corals at Holmes Reef and sheer walls at Bougainville Reef. Osprey Reef provided a good turnout of hungry sharks for the Amphitheatre shark feed and a chance to view nautilus. Back on the GBR divers encountered friendly potato cod and watched cuttlefish laying eggs.

Silvertips and cuttlefish
From the dive deck, Jelle Kolet, August 24 – August 31
Thrilled divers got escorted to the reef by a curious silvertip shark at the beautiful Dungeons & Dragons at Bougainville reef. A silvertip of impressive size made an appearance at the shark feed at Osprey reef. Amazed divers marvelled at the sight of the alien looking cuttlefish at Coral Kingdom and Gotham city on the ribbon reefs.
